Borecet Művek
AniInteractive museum visit combined with tasting. Visit us and let the experience captivate you!
The idea for the Borecet Művek company as it is known today was born in the mind of Ferenc Formanek in 2006. The entrepreneur, who previously worked as a teacher, physicist and researcher, has been interested in the art of winemaking and viticulture since childhood, so when he moved to Bodrogkeresztúr, he felt inspired to connect with the traditions of the Tokaj wine region.
Ambiance and Service – Vinegar tasting
In our showroom, a tasting experience awaits all our dear visitors! During the tasting, we drop the delicious vinegars onto a small spoon with a pipette. You can experience the fantastic harmony of the different flavors as the acidity of the vinegar blends with the intense world of fruits.
Ambiance and Service – Vinegar Exhibition
A unique vinegar museum, where you can see an exhibition of wine and vinegar-making tools, a collection of vinegars from around the world, as well as videos, articles, and recipes await you! Watch our professional short film, which will introduce you to the history, technology, and beneficial physiological effects of vinegars.
Overall Experience – Hungary’s Only Vinegar Museum
The Acetánia Vinegar Museum was founded by the Association of Wine and Fruit Vinegar Producers with the aim of bringing back the values of the Hungarian wine and fruit vinegar tradition, which was interrupted in the last century, to the present. We would like to present this ancient craft, its origins, scientific and cultural background, and the vinegar-making processes.
Our museum is located in the cellar of the Borecet Művek in Bodrogkeresztúr, and in addition to its unique atmosphere, it not only contributes to broadening our gastronomic culture, but also provides a lasting taste experience for visitors to the Tokaj Hegyalja settlements, giving a more complete picture to those interested in the heritage of the landscape.
